(double termination situations).

 |
Our hermetically sealed F-connector provides a moisture seal up to 30

IX. F-Connector Assembly
|
|
Utilizes a patented technique to lock the F-connector dielectric in the
connector barrel. This prevents the F-connector dielectric from being
pulled out, which is common in flat F-port connectors.

X. Auto-Seizing Coaxial Cable Port for an Electrical Device
|

Provides the only auto-seizing 5/8 inch line connection for a multitap
in the industry. Uses a one step procedure for installing multitaps.
The auto-seizing port provides a true 360 degree contact and grips the
line connector similar to a compression connector. The one step installation
procedure eliminates the need to remove hex bolts and seizure screws,
thus increasing reliability and reducing installation time.

signal levels in your system without affecting the multitap’s

E-Option conditioners include:
- Cable Equalization (CE): Provides cable equalization to the drop
only without affecting through response. Ideal for long cable drops.
- Cable Simulation (CS): Provides cable simulation to the drop only
without affecting the through response. Ideal for high tap value
locations in close proximity to amplifiers with excessive tilt.
- Return Path Attenuation (RA): Provides more return band attenuation
to the drop only without affecting the through response. Ideal for
low tap value locations that use cable modems. Adding attenuation
in the return band keeps a cable modem transmitting at higher output
power levels, thereby maintaining a high signal to noise ratio for
the cable modem. Allows the designer to balance the return and prevent
return laser clipping.
- High Tap Value Module (HT): Used in conjunction with a lower tap
value to provide less return band attenuation to the drop only without
affecting the through response. Ideal for high tap value locations
that use cable modems where the excessive tap loss prevents the cable
modem signal from being transmitted reliably. The HT module reduces
the attenuation in the return band, thus providing more reliable
cable modem transmission.
- High Pass Filter (HP): Provides a high pass filter to the drop
only without affecting the through response. Ideal for noisy homes
that are probable sources of ingress.

XIII. Sidactor Surge Protection

Our main line passives can be equipped with a rugged electronic crowbar
device to safeguard the unit from surge related damage. The device activates
when hazardous voltages exceed 180V and diverts the overvoltage to ground.
With over 3000 amperes of surge protection, the Sidactor surge protection
is ideal for installations in areas prone to lightning strikes and power
line surges.

The plug-in directional coupler in our MGT3000-SE series provides maximum
flexibility to change direction of the signal feed without having to resplice
a tap location. By simply removing the baseplate and turning the plug-in
directional coupler, you can change the design of your system. The flexibility
of the MGT3000-SE series serves to minimize your inventory expenses, as
the value of the tap can easily be changed by installing a different plug-in
directional coupler value.
